Alone at Sea
Sam and Jessica Bran, a couple from Boston, spent 60 days at sea in a life-boat in the seas of America
after their yacht sank. Surprisingly, they survived in very good health. Twenty-three days after starting the cruise, the couple came across some whales. Suddenly, the whales started to hit the side of the boat; as a result, the couple fell into the water. A few minutes later, the yacht started to sink, they got into the life-boat and the yacht went under the water.For eighteen days they ate biscuits, tin food and drank water. They also had a fishing rod and a machine that turned salt water into drinking water. These two things saved their lives. They caught ten fish and ate them raw everyday. Then, unfortunately the fishing rod broke, so they couldn't catch any fish until something strange happened. Some sharks came near their life boat to look for some food. The fish under the boat were afraid, so they came to the surface and Sam caught them with his hands. Almost 22 ships passed them, but no one on the
ships saw them. After fifty days at sea, their life-boat was badly damaged. Then, it sank too. Finally a fishing boat saw them and picked them up. They couldn't stand on their feet, so the captain had to carry them onto the boat. Their days at sea finally ended.
