Connie is an adult coyote. She has lived in Wyoming for the last 5 years. She loves the mountains and forests in the summer and the prairies in the winter. The mountains offer her protection from the ever-growing wolf population. The prairies are a great place to hunt in the winter. There are also only few coyotes so Connie can usually howl without interruption at night.

Connie is shy when it comes to howling. That's her problem-- she has an inadequate voice for such activities. Poor Connie at 8 years old, is still a bachelorette! How can one find a mate with a baritone wail like Connie's?

It is a well known fact out west that male coyotes prefer a high pitched yelping to stir them up. A voice like a bullfrog just doesn't cut the mustard for a robust male. Poor Connie has done everything to solve her problem, but nothing has worked. She paid a king's ransom (4 fresh prairie dogs) to her aunt Courtney (a voice coach), to help her with her dilemma. That didn't work. She just couldn't hit the high notes. She has tried a low-fat diet (no field mice or young hares) to shrink her vocal cords. That didn't help, either. What is a poor coyote to do? Connie is now resigned to the fact that she will be single forever.

She roams the Wyoming wilderness alone - a companionless shadow amongst the trees of the forest. If you are ever hiking in Wyoming and hear a solitary howl in the middle of a moonlit night, that might just be Connie, the forsaken coyote.

The Committee for the Reduction of Redundancy and the Anti-proliferation of Repetition has decided not to meet until they have their first meeting, and thus will not be meeting until the first time. Their Pre-meeting Mission Statement wanted to make this clear before they had their first meeting so that it would not be too confusing. So, their first meeting will actually be their first meeting and they will not have a meeting before the first meeting. This should prevent people showing up for their first meeting before it is held, since to do so would be confusing to those who did so and this is what they want to avoid by reducing the confusion and lessening the repetition.
