Google opens OneBox music service
Search giant Google has entered the online music market with a new service for finding and buying music online.
OneBox is an alliance with music sites Lala and MySpace-owned iLike.
The US-only service allows people to search using song titles, artists or using snippets of lyrics and will also stream sought-after tracks.
When users search using OneBox a pop-up widget powered by iLike or Lala offers to play the entire song.
According to Google, the words "music" and "lyrics" are among the top 10 search terms of all time.
"At Google, we see millions of music-related queries every day," said the company's vice president of search Marissa Mayer at the launch in Los Angeles.
"It is clear to us that for our users, music holds a very special and particular place."
Apple currently dominates the online music market with around 70% of worldwide sales.
In Europe, firms such as Spotify are also beginning to gain popularity. The free music-streaming service, which launched in 2008, now has more than two million users in the UK, and more than six million across Europe.
The new Google collaboration will hope to emulate the success of these services.
The firm already offer free downloads of licensed music tracks in China and has said it was now trying to find partners in other countries to take the new music model international.

Jeffrey walks into the barn. It is late March, and he has been helping his father seed the corn fields. Even though it is a brisk March day, Jeff takes out his kerchief to wipe the sweat off his face. Seeding is hard work even when it isn’t hot.
He hears Nellie, their 2-month-old foal, neigh as he enters the barn. Several pigeons scatter from their feast of dried corn on the building’s floor. The usual smell of manure drenches the air.
“Is that you, Jeffrey?” Jeff stops, and looks in the direction the voice came from.
“No, it’s King Kong. What are you doing, Squeaky?” Squeaky was the nickname given to Angela, Jeff’s 4-year-old sister, because of her high voice.
“I’m watching Bopper. I hope he has an egg soon.” Jeff walks over to the corner where several rabbits sit in a small pen. Bopper, a white rabbit with pink eyes, is Squeaky’s favorite.
“Bopper is a boy. He can’t have an egg.”
“How do you know Bopper’s a boy?”
Jeffrey isn’t ready to discuss anatomy with his little sister. “Because I know he is. That’s why!”
“Says who?”
“Says me! And rabbits don’t have eggs anyway, you stupid girl. All you girls are stupid. When have you seen a rabbit’s egg?”
“Every Easter! I always find lots of Easter bunny eggs in my Easter basket. Bopper is a bunny, so he will lay an egg before Easter. I’m sure of it.”
Jeff takes off his hat, and scratches his red hair. He knows he is in a predicament now. He can’t tell his sister there isn’t an Easter rabbit.
“Well, you know, they only have eggs at night. When no one is around. That’s right -only at night.”
“At night? Are you sure about that, Jeffrey? I really want to be here when Bopper lays an egg.”
“Yup, I’m sure. You’ll have to wait until morning to get it.”
“I’m going to ask Mommy about it. I’m sure she’ll know what to do.” Angela races out of the barn. Jeff grabs a pitchfork, and starts to spread some hay for the rabbits to eat. Two minutes later, he hears his sister running back to the barn.
“Well….. what did Mom say?” he asks.
“I have good news and bad news,” Squeaky answers. “The bad news is I told Mommy that you said all girls are stupid.”
“Great,” Jeff says. “What’s the good news?”
“The good news is Mommy said I can sit out here tonight, and wait for Bopper to have an egg. And you can sit in here with me! The whole night! She said you wouldn’t want a stupid girl to be alone in the barn!”

One of Our Traditions
Ramazan and Kurban bayrams are our traditions. We celebrate them every year. People help the poor before the bayrams more than at other times. W ego to mosque for ritual prayer of bayram at bayram’s morning. Then we congratulate each other for bayram. After that we have a breakfast together with all of our families. Then w ego to cemetary because we shouldn’t forget the dead. Also, celebrate of bayram is god’s order for us. Adults visit own relatives, neighbours and friends and they celebrate with each other for bayram. The children kiss elders’ hands. Elders give Money or candy to children. So the bayrams are a source of happiness and cheer for us. God willing this well never finish.
