A Village in New York
Lyons is a beautiful village. It is in NewYork. The first settler came to this part of New York at the turn of the 17th century, in 1611. Today, it is a busy little village. There are many places to visit in this lovely village. It has a museum. There is a library across from the museum. There is an elementary school, and a high school on the corner of two roads. There are four factories outside of town. These factories are very important for jobs. Many residents work in these factories. The mayor of Lyons wants its people to live and be happy in Lyons. On the main street in Lyons, there are three bars and two fast-food restaurants. There is a cinema and an arcade for teenagers across the street. The teens of Lyons spend most of their spare time with their friends in the cinema and in the arcade. There are many parks in Lyons, also. You can have a picnic at one of these parks. These parks are good for jogging, too. Lyons is full of greenery and trees. Lyons is a small village, but there are many things to do there. |

A scientific truth does not triumph by convincing its opponents and making them see the light, but rather because its opponents eventually die and a new generation grows up that is familiar with it.

An Army brat (kid) was boasting about his father to a Navy brat.
"My dad is an engineer. He can do everything. Do you know the Alps?"
"Yes," said the Navy brat.
"My dad built them."
Then, the navy kid said, "Well, do you know the Dead Sea?"
"Yes."
"It's my dad who's killed it!"
First soldier: "Pass me the chocolate pudding, would you?"
Second soldier: "No way, Jose!"
First soldier: "Why not?"
Second soldier: "It's against regulations to help another soldier to dessert!"
